Citizens for a Green North Tonawanda Welcome to Citizens for a Green North Tonawanda Web Site We are trying to save some green space in our community, are you? Our group's focus is the preservation of wetlands and environmental education.

Sacred Land Film Project In the Light of Reverence explores American culture’s relationship to nature in three places considered sacred by native peoples: Mt. Shasta in California, the Colorado Plateau in the Southwest and Devils Tower in Wyoming. Rich in minerals and timber and beloved by recreational users, these "holy lands" exert a spiritual gravity which pulls Native Americans into conflicts with New Age practitioners, tourists and rock climbers. Ironically, all sides see themselves as besieged. Their battles tell a new story of culture clashes in an ancient landscape.
The Junior Save-The-Earth Club The Junior Save-The-Earth Club (JSTEC) is a kid's non-profit environmental organization that was started in May of1996. We are involved in many community projects (see JSTEC Projects for a list) where we are based, in Fultonville,NY. We also hold meetings and do many environmental activities at our meetings (see What We Do For Fun for alist).
Time's Up! Time's Up! is an environmental organization based in New York City. Among other actions and activities, Time's Up! sponsors a number of free bicycle and skate rides. Get involved or just come along for the ride.

Boroughs Allied for Recycling & Garbage Equity, or B.A.R.G.E., is a growing coalition of community organizations, neighborhood groups, individuals, businesses, and elected officials from across New York City that is dedicated to creating an intelligent long-term solution to the city's waste management problems. We seek a cleaner, fairer, safer, and cheaper future for every borough and every neighborhood.

Interstate Renewable Energy Council (IREC) The Interstate Renewable Energy Council (IREC) is a non-profit organization committed to accelerating the sustainable utilization of renewable energy resources and technologies in and through state, local government, and community activities. Formed in 1980, IREC offers a range of market-oriented services and products targeted at education, coordination, and procurement. You will find information on IREC's programs, services, and products as well as resources on issues impacting renewable energy expanded use and deployment.

In addition to our New York headquarters, we have three regional offices.
Protectors of the Innocent and Endangered Animals PIEA was founded by me, IanMallicoat, on January 14, 1999. Also assisting with PIEA is my good friend Niki.We both hope to soon make this page a very important spot were people cancome to see what they can do to save the world Innocent and Endangered species(mainly focusing on the Cheetah). If we get more visitors we will make the pagebigger and add more information. Save the Pine Bush Save the Pine Bush is a volunteer, not-for-profit organization dedicated to saving the Albany Pine Bush, a globally rare ecosystem in New York State. We stop developers by suing the government using environmental laws. The fight for Pine Bush presevation has all the elements of a good novel - except it is real. David vs. Goliath - volunteers vs. City Hall. Check out our current battles or read about how we got to where we are today.
Coalition on the Environment and Jewish Life The Coalition on the Environment and Jewish Life was founded in 1993 to promote environmental education, scholarship, advocacy, and action in the American Jewish community. COEJL is sponsored by a broad coalition of national Jewish organizations and has organized regional affiliates in communities across North America. COEJL is the Jewish member of the National Religious Partnership for the Environment.
Turtle Homes Turtle Homes is a rescue and adoption operation bringing together turtle and tortoise organizations worldwide. We are not an individual club or society, but rather a cooperative effort between many clubs, societies, organizations and wildlife rehabilitation centers with similar rescue and care goals. Our primary focus is welfare and conservation. Turtle Homes helps place animals that cannot be returned to the wild with individuals and institutions willing to provide species-specific care.
World Carnivore Society Wild Dog Foundation The Wild Dog Foundation was formed with the intention of bringing notice to two greatly neglected carnivores. This will be done by education and with the hopes of raising funds for research projects. The Wild Dog of Africa (Lycaon Pictus) and the Dhole (Cuon Alpinus) of Asia are two forgotten carnivores in the popular world of conservation.
