S.N.R.E.In 1950, the University of Michigan formally established the School of Natural Resources, the first of its kind in the world, but the study of natural resources and environmental problems has been part of the University for over 100 years. Fittingly, the School changed its name to the School of Natural Resources and Environment in 1992.
