Maine Coast Heritage TrustMaine Coast Heritage Trust (MCHT) works to conserve coastal and other lands that define Maine'sdistinct landscape, protect its ecology, sustain its outdoor traditions and promote the well-being of itspeople. Since 1970, MCHT has helped permanently conserve more than 83,000 acres including valuablewildlife habitat, farm and forest land and 224 entire islands. MCHT provides conservation services tolandowners, local land trusts, government agencies and communities throughout Maine.

Gulf of Maine Council on the Marine EnvironmentOur mission is to enhance environmental quality in the Gulf of Maine and to allow for sustainable resource use by existing and future generations.

Land for Maine's Future The citizens of Maine voiced their strong support that Maine’s most special places be set aside in public trust for all to enjoyforever. The Land for Maine’s Future Program was established to do just this. It’s legislative mandate is to acquire lands of statesignificance; lands which "make a substantial and lasting contribution towards assuring all of Maine citizens, presentand future, the traditional Maine heritage of public access to Maine’s land and water resources or continuedquality and availability of natural resources important to the interests and continued heritage of Maine people."
