Division of Environmental Health and Safety (DEHS) The role of the Division of Environmental Health and Safety (DEHS) is to advise and consult in matters relating to the health and safety of faculty, staff, students, and visitors, and in matters related to compliance programs for campus activities. DEHS functions in direct support of the teaching, research, and public service mission of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC).
